Synopsis: The story begins in Kumbakonam where a joint
family brims with happiness. Mahesh (Sakthi) comes back
from Chennai after completing his studies, to make
arrangements for his sister Keerthana's (Saranya)
wedding. During the occasion, he narrates to his sister
about his crush on Saranya (Sandhya), whom he met in
Chennai. Everyone in the family overhears his love
story and it becomes the talk of the house. A sudden
twist in Keerthana's marriage derails happiness in the
family. Mahesh's romance is short-lived and at the end,
he goes to prison. A twist in the climax reveals the
reason behind Mahesh surrendering to the police.
